SEVERAL years ago, as in back in the mid eighties, I started grinding a telescope mirror. About a year ago I ran into a friend of mine who works at Fernbank Science Center and we started talking. Ended up he had a polishing machine, and I traded a new plywood turntable for it in exchange for access. I ended up building my own, and now, at least 25 years, I am finally parabolizing my mirror.
